Graceful Acres February Newsletter
One month down in 2019 and we are thrilled to say that we have
welcomed 3 new riders to our family! We would like to thank
everyone for being so flexible with us when the days got colder at
the end of the month. We did get to utilize our educational building
for many of those lessons. The educational building can, at times,
seem to be boring since it’s more like a classroom style of
teaching, but nevertheless with
Jon making different training
videos, we can watch them. After
watching these videos the riders
get to implement the new skills
we learned underneath the barn.
There is so much more to the
horsemanship skill then riding.
Groundwork plays a key role to
success while in the saddle.
Another benefiting factor of being
in the educational building is that
we get to discuss how to take
care of the horses and what
actually goes into maintaining a
healthy animal.
Furthermore, we would like to
thank Doug and his team at
Faulkner Subaru Harrisburg for
allowing us to set up and share
about our program with their valued customers and staff. Other
news for the year of 2019, we are pleased to say that we are going
to move the Fall Festival to Enders Grove; this location will not be
as far out of the way for everyone. We look forward to hosting the
county commissioners so that they can see our riders and how the
horse can help us to get back on the right path.

To our Volunteers:
Thank you again for all that you do for the riders and helping to
create a successful atmosphere at Graceful Acres. Also thank you
to Ike and his mother for representing Graceful Acres at the 10th
anniversary of the Northern Dauphin County Resource Building.
Bonnie Kent was honored at this celebration and we want to
congratulate her. Bonnie has been a huge advocate of our
program since the beginning of Graceful Acres.
