Screen Shot 2016-05-06 at 11.09.48 AMGraceful Acres had the pleasure of hosting the Upper Dauphin Life Skills class on April 29th.  We had a fun time with these young individuals, while we painted horses and taught them horsemanship skill.  Graceful Acres also would like to thank Woodside Station, for their generosity in hosting a benefit for us on April 30th.  We look forward to having more events in the near future that involve working with such amazing people!  Furthermore, Graceful Acres would like to thank Halifax Elementary for inviting us into their math and science day.   We had a blast teaching your third grade students about our program.

Bailey is the head of the class #leaderHorse of the Month:

Bailey has been at Graceful Acres since 2013, since her arrival she has been our most reliable horse.  We were blessed when the Feldman family donate Bailey.  Bailey is a 14 year old quarter horse.  She was once an excellent show horse, but now is taking care of some amazing riders here.  Bailey has taught all of our riders something, since she is our go to horse if the rider’s usual horse has requested off for the day.  Although, Bailey does like to take her well-deserved days off when she gets them.

Dawson: Dawson’s birthday is April 22.  Some of his favorite activities are to collect and trade Pokémon cards and he also likes to play games on the kindle.  Moreover, Dawson also likes to go camping where he gets to ride his bike.  At school, Dawson enjoys being involved in both the jazz and concert band playing the trumpet.  Also while at school, his favorite subject is math.  Dawson has aspirations of being a scientist or designing video games when older.  Dawson has been riding with us for two years.  His first horse was Bailey, but has now moved to either Rigs or Romeo.  One of his favorite things to do while working with the horses is lunging!

Screen Shot 2016-05-06 at 11.08.22 AMDeanna Sweigart has been a great addition to our program, she was always willing to help out no matter what was asked of her.  Deanna came to us as an intern from Lebanon Valley College.  She has put many hours on the road to come up and help our riders.  As well as, helping Graceful Acres to become a better place for all who come here.  Deanna will be graduating this May with a degree in psychology.  Although, graduating plans to still help when she can.  Thank you for your time and dedication!
